The Southwest Institute for the Education of Native Americans (SIENA) presents Take Charges! - Native American Leadership Today Conference. The purpose of the Take Charge! Conference is to provide tools and information for Native American students to take charge of their own education. This year, we will focus on career options. This event is open to 7-12 grade students, their parents, teachers, and administrators of American Indian programs. The mission is to create a dialogue among the participants in the subject of leadership - in school, at home, and in the community. An emphasis will also be placed on maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
