HERE'S NAPOLEON! ~Danny D.

Napoleon spent the night in a box on the doorstep of a local animal shelter after being
abandoned by his owner. In critical condition, the orange and white tabby
cat could’ve lost his life that night and when shelter workers opened the
box the following morning they found Napoleon covered with painful wounds all
over his body and a broken front leg that was literally hanging from his body.

 Immediately the shelter, who didn’t have the means to medically treat a cat in such bad
condition, called the Arizona Humane Society’s Second Chance Animal Hospital™
for help. Well-seasoned vets determined that Napoleon had been hit by a car and
with his badly injured leg would need to be removed in order to save his life.

His amputation surgery went well and afterwards he was sent to a foster home for
two weeks to recover in the home environment. Once healed, the two-year-old’s
personality bubbled to the surface.

Outgoing and gregarious, Napoleon greets his owner with cheerful meows as soon as they
walk through the door and even though he only has three legs he’s still able to
perform a “kitty tap dance” at their feet while he eagerly waits for dinner
and/ or cat treats ( “Friskies Party Mix” cat treats preferably.) He cuddles
close, purrs louder than a car engine, and kneads his paws readily to show he
is content.

 Napoleon would do best in a home with older kids and he doesn’t mind sharing his home with other four-legged roommates.
